1. Summary
This product bulletin announces the availability of the NetApp NFS
Client Support Package v1.2 for Sun Cluster on a Solaris™ operating system
platform (both Sparc and x86/x64 in 32-bit and 64-bit architecture).
The
NetApp NFS Client Support Package for Sun Cluster is a tool that works with
NetApp storage systems running Data ONTAP® software that are used in a Sun
Cluster environment. In this environment, the clustered hosts connect with
the shared storage on single or clustered NetApp storage systems over the
Network File System (NFS). With the support package, you can use the storage
capability of a NetApp storage system to have an IP-based solution without an
external shared SCSI or FCP disk.

What’s New
The support package v1.2 has the same functionality as
v1.1. The following support is added
in this new release:
- Support for x86/x64
architecture (both 32-bit and 64-bit)
- Support for Sun Cluster v3.2
